  1. Elementary and Middle School Special Education Team.

Good news: We are making progress with the Life Skills to Community program. We have had successful outings to the grocery store and the Athletic Club since spring break.

Leslie followed up on community volunteers setting up time for our kids to go in the fall.

The rest of us worked on our curriculum and plans for the entire school year of 2013-2014 with school to community opportunities. Again areas include academics (pre-teaching, teaching), daily living, executive functioning skills and appropriate places through out the school year.

    Amber Britt
    Julie Bonner
    Jana Barrett
    Ashley Heriott
    Bridget Martel

We covered anywhere from Basic Skills to using your iPad with your Interwrite board. It was a very successful training.

Next we are offering an Excel small group training. Anyone interested let me know.

We plan to survey the staff to find out what we can offer next year. At the last early out we would like to find a webinar for our team to learn something new.

  3. Good NEWS: "Buddies" cleaned up the town. We took both grade around town to help clean up our earth. This was a HUGE SUCCESS. We plan to keep our Buddy Mentoring teams going next school year as well.

4th-5th team. It was a productive day as we discussed our current and future goals. We met all of our goals for this school year and plan to be ambitious with report cards and have them ready to go for Fall. We will have some work to do this summer to get this done, but feel this is a realistic goal for our team.

  4. Grading Practiced discussed how we should inform parents about our transition into standards based grading. Additionally, we worked on establishing what good standing would look like with the new system. Our team also met with Matt Jensen to brainstorm and share some of our ideas.
