DISCUSS:  Cutting down face-to-face meeting time with the BLOG!
This is where we will post "Good News" and other "Meeting Notes".  Each team needs to have one representative that will post. Sarah Taylor and I taught how to "Create an Account" and "Post" to the blog.  The blog was started in 2009 and its named derived from teacher Greg Moul,

ASSIGNMENT:  Upload “Notes & Good News” after every HPT meeting.  Due by the following Friday.  For example, January 18th meeting “Notes and Good News” due by January 25th.
Post “Notes and Good News” under heading labeled HPT Meeting January 18th.

***On a personal note, don’t get worked up over how to post to the blog.  It’s super easy and just send me a line that you need help :)

FINISH TIME:  4 pm

Reminder Forum Meeting, December 19, 2012

Good Morning! Reminder for forum meeting tomorrow. We are going to try to lessen the in-person meeting time with listing the 'good news, team reports, PIR requests, etc.' on the blog site. To facilitate this process, please bring a laptop or such device with internet access to learn how to post. A member of your HPT must be here. Under discussion: Provide an up-to-date list of HPT members. When to upload information following HPT meeting? Who within your team will be responsible for the task? Should everyone be authors, or just those responsible for reporting? Other queries or suggestions? Thanks. See you soon. Merry Christmas! Happy New Year! Clara

Grading Practices Team Notes, December 7, 2012

During our HPT meeting today we created our Roll Out Plan. Additionally, we planned for our next few HPT meetings. On January 18th we will be creating the strands that will make the life skills standards. February 15th and March 8th we will be creating rubrics to accompany the strands to ensure consistent grading. April 19th we will formate our core standards and the life skills standards. While this is our tentative plan, we all agree that we would prefer quality over the timeline. These are goals for the meetings, but we know it may take longer to develop the formate and standards. Roll Out Plan 2012-2013 Trimester 2 Completion of the Life-Skills Standards and Rubrics Trimester 3 Inform shared faculty and noncore faculty members of Life-Skills Rubric and timeline of implementation of curriculum standards Informative meeting/open house before PTA Carnival to give parents a heads up 2013-2014 Trimester 1 Grading with Citizenship Standards Letter Grading Parent Meeting Trimester 2 Letter Grading Citizenship Grades and Curriculum Standards Grades Trimester 3 Pilot New Standards Based Grading System 22014-2015 Implementation of New Standards Based Grading System.
